A sterile syringe, a Narcan (Naloxone) injector and a Bible on a pew at Green Street Church in Winston-Salem, NC, which houses The Twin City Harm Reduction Collective, a needle exchange for addicts. Narcan blocks and reverses the effects of heroin and other opioids and has saved countless people from overdose deaths. Colin Miller, a recovering addict and one of the collective's founders, cites Jesus' words in Matthew 25:40 as a motivation to help addicts use drugs in a less harmful way, and ultimately become sober: “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”  (Justin Cook)
